Jorge Colomina will paint childhood memories in Spain, Bullfighting, Gypsies, Flamenco, Tango and many other reminiscences. Women have and always will be his models. He draws, paints their curves, their softness. The artist plunges and also plunges us into the cozy comfort, in the reassuring arms of the Woman or the Mother.

One could interpret the use of dense, enveloping colors as a bridge connecting the woman in her protective role, reassuring by its roundness with the harsh reality expressed by cold or hyper-colored colors.

For this exhibition of “Singular Fantasies”, Jorge Colomina’s paintings always represent the Woman, the Face. These works keep an imprint of his native country. The colors are vivid, his line is powerful, precise, which makes his painting sensitive, alive. His style could be qualified as “Abstract Figurative”.

The colors used give the impression that the painting is alive, that the characters will come out of the painting, making it a living work as if it were still being created, you can feel the movement. Passion and energy are found in all of the creations of artist Jorge Colomina.
