Crusader Portraits Paintings
The opening of the exhibition was held on September 18, at the Palais des Congrès in Cap d´Agde Méditerranée. The exhibition runs from September 18 to October 31. Gilles D’Ettore, the mayor of Agde accompanied by Eve Escande, Deputy Delegate for Culture welcomed CharlElie Couture.
François Mancuso, known as Franck Mancuso, French screenwriter, director and producer accompanied by Agnès Blanchot, actress, guests at the Hérault du Cinéma et de la Télévision 2020 attended the opening in the presence of Mayor Gilles D’Ettore.
CharlElie Couture, born Bertrand Charles Élie Couture, February 26, 1956 in Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle). CharlElie Couture is a Franco-American singer, composer, painter, writer, graphic designer and photographer, visual artist. His pseudonym is the association of the first names of his two grandfathers.
This multi-talented artist left for the United States after 2003 with his wife and 2 daughters. He decided to leave New York and return to his old workshop.
CharlElie Couture is a graduate of the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts, he is a multidisciplinary artist who is part of the « multist » trend, which touches several media, of which he is one of the founders.
In 2003, the artist participated in a competition for the development of the DRAC in Amiens. His file goes through the selection stages until the jury realizes that the artist was CharlÉlie Couture, musician, singer.
From then on, his case was not studied, and decided to leave France and move to New York in 2004 with his wife and 2 daughters.
CharlÉlie Couture decides to reinvent himself and in 2009, the artist creates his own gallery in Manhattan in order to pursue an approach towards what he defines as « Total Art », to make the junction between the forms of expression of the man who are writing, image and music.
CharlÉlie Couture decides to return to France in 2018 and to settle in her former workshops in Nancy and Paris.
The works restore the confinement endured in recent months. The public was able to discover the works on partitions and on the floor as well as on the walls. A vibrant tribute was given to George Floyd among the works on display.
The public had the pleasure of meeting Jean-Jacques François, painter designer and visual artist, Halim, patron, from Sète.
