The Cirque Arlette Gruss is on tour in France, from October 2021 to May 2022. The troupe performed in Paris, lawn of reuilly (75012) between December 3 and 12. Before that, young and old were able to meet them in Aix-les-Bains, Annecy, Nancy, Amiens and Villeneuve d’Ascq. Since December 17, he has stopped in Bordeaux
On the program, this year Mr Loyal presents us mini ponies, dromedaries, acrobats, clowns. In total, around twenty acts including that of diabolos produced by juggler Pierre Marchand. Finalist of the 7th season of the 2012 competition, « France has an Incredible Talent », we could see him at the Lido, at the Cirque Bouglione and at Europa Park.
If the numbers featuring wild animals have been deleted, ponies, horses and dromedaries are still on the track to the delight of spectators. In addition, they attend an animal parade.

Dinner shows
A specific feature of the Arlette Gruss circus: the dinner shows. It was in 1997 that the idea of the dinner show appeared thanks to the regrouping of renowned caterers, reception organizers, independent workers.
For the occasion, the circus has been transformed into a dining room. Tables are set up in front of the stands to enjoy the show.
The evening begins at 7 p.m. with an aperitif then is followed by dinner which begins at 7.45 p.m. and ends around 9 p.m., during the intermission. The show then begins and ends around 11 p.m. In addition, there will be a dinner show on December 31 for those who wish to wake up at the circus.
The Association des Caterers de France has 36 members through its network throughout France. Drawing on her experience, she proposed to the Arlette Gruss circus a new concept combining the circus show with gastronomy. Each region chooses its local caterer.
Once again this year, after Paris, the city of Bordeaux will host the Arlette Gruss circus from December 17, 2021 to January 30, 2022. Spectators will have the choice between the dinner show and the simple performance.
Bordeaux chose Lacoste Traiteur for its seriousness and its know-how. He has been a member of the network since 2005 and has been certified since 2017. The caterer also works with chefs from the region and around the world. Several menus are available: Flavors Menu, Vegetarian Menu and Children’s Menu (served in a box, before the meal for adults).

History of the Arlette Gruss circus
The history of the Gruss circus began 2 years after the liquidation of the Grand Cirque de France, Pinder-Jean Richard in 1983. Thus with a few trucks, a second-hand tent and 15,000 francs in their pocket, the Gruss family began its business. adventure in 1985. Today after more than 35 years, it is still present and turns to modernity.

The storm in 2000 destroyed the marquee, a 4th had to be built, it is the start of a new era. In 2006, Arlette Gruss died and Gilbert became the managing director. The year 2008 sees the appearance of the 6th generation with Laura-Maria, granddaughter of Arlette.
The following year (2009) saw the construction of the « Cathedral », a monumental capital, in Bordeaux for the first time. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the circus in 2010, the Patrouille de France flies over the big top. We will also note, in 2013, the return of the wild animals, who have disappeared since 2005. The following years saw the renewal of equipment and the appearance of modernity.
News after the waves of the pandemic
In 2019, following the pandemic, the circus must reduce its number of admissions and then stop its tour in March 2020. The tour resumes in September with the new show « ‘Excentrik ». The second wave interrupts the tour again between November 2020 and June 2021. It is then a new era which opens for the Gruss circus with a new big top, « L’Arche », a combination of the last 2, the « Cathedral and « Le Privilège ».
Another novelty is the new formula of the dinner-show which welcomes the public as at a cabaret. The stands receive tables. L’Arche receives 600 guests for dinner shows and 13,000 spectators for shows. who discover the new version of « Eccentric ».
