The chocolate fair, 25th edition

Kickoff yesterday of the highly anticipated culinary event of cocoa lovers.

The Salon du Chocolat opens its doors until November 3 at Paris Porte de Versailles. Confectioners, chocolatiers, pastry chefs, professionals from the chocolate industry, but also producing countries and top chefs, come together to introduce the public to the riches of chocolate.

On the program, tastings, workshops for young and old from 11 am to 7 pm, shows, exhibitions, conferences, competitions, demonstrations of know-how, fashion shows …

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the show, the organizers wanted to give pride of place to pastry in all its splendor. An area of ​​2500 m2 sponsored by Philippe Conticini brings together the most famous pastry chefs to show their talents to the public.
Christmas logs, eclairs, waffles and other chocolate works will be made live on the “Pastry Show” in the middle of hall 4.

Among the greatest chefs on stage, we can name a few: Dominique Costa (The Peninsula Paris), Christophe Felder, Pascal Hainigue (The Burgundy Paris), François Josse (Le Taillevent), Nina Metayer, Thierry Marx & Raphael Haumont ( The Mandarin Oriental), Jimmy Mornet (Park Hyatt Paris Vendome), Nicolas Paciello (Prince of Wales Hotel), Patrick Pailler (Pouchkine Cafe), Aurélien Rivoire (The Ledoyen Pavilion) …

The authors of recipe books are to be found in the bookstore area for book signings. The highlights of the event are the parade of chocolate dresses and the awards for the best chocolatiers each year.
