French President Emmanuel Macron and Japanese the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe accepted Wednesday to intensify the co–operation of their countries by supporting stability in the Indo–Pacific region where China had increased its influence.

The two chiefs also reaffirmed their commitment towards the denuclearization of the North Korea and the coming into effect early of a free–trade agreement signed in July between Japan and the European Union.

“We would like to join hands for the promotion of free and the opened Indo–Pacific,” Abe declared with the journalists, whereas Macron indicated that the realization of stability in the area is an important matter.
