Lys Assia, first winner D Eurovision died on March 24th with Zollikerberg in the canton of Zurich.
Rosa Mina Schärer, known as Lys Assia was born on March 3rd, 1924 in Rupperswil in the canton from Argovie, of a father owner of a company of plumbing, and a mother of noble origin. C was a Swiss singer and the first winner one of Eurovision Competition of the song in 1956 for Switzerland with the song Refrain. It only remains representing of Switzerland to have gained this title even if the country, represented by Céline Dion in 1988 were victorious with the title “do not leave without me”. It was also the face of its country at the time as of competition of 1957 and 1958 when it was classified second with its title “Giorgio”.
At a few weeks of the competition of Eurovision 2018 which will be held on May 12th in Lisbon, in Portugal, country of Salvador Sobral, victorious of the last opus in Kiev with its title “Amar Pelos Dois” (To like for two) written by his sister Luisa, Eurovision pays homage to this great lady of the song which has just died out at the 94 years age at the hospital not far from Zurich.
