After the release of his new album « Midnight Rainbow », in October 2021, The Lost Star presented his latest tracks during an evening in his honor at Maxim’s in Paris.
This show case was an opportunity to meet a diva who by her gestures and her tone of voice is reminiscent of the divine Marlène Dietrich and the era of « burlesque ». However, the rhythms are different since we find oriental music, rap, disco and Latin inspirations. all realized thanks to the composer Amadeo Barrios, choreographer and also instructor.
In this new album of 12 titles, including the flagship title, « Midnight Rainbow », we find a title in French « Mon Pacha », new versions of « Forever », « Goddess of the Gospels », « Aphrodite » or even a Latin version of « Liberty ».
To achieve this opus, everything was brought together, both the poetry and the writing of the texts, which reflects the personality of the singer, her femininity, her non-conformist and free woman side.
Who is The Lost Star?
Originally from Chicago, this beautiful blonde, woman through and through, wrote the texts of her songs in which she brought out all that she feels.
When she was only 19 years old and had a very comfortable life in the United States, The Lost Star arrived in Paris and immediately felt at home. The French capital will be the place where she can surpass herself despite the difficulties linked to language and the difference in culture. She realizes today that she was not mistaken, and this is linked to the fact that she believes in reincarnation. She would have lived in France in another life, which is why she feels so good there. Another country is also close to her heart, Italy, because according to her, these 2 countries are the places where she will be able to evolve and « become ». Based on this, she wants to stay true to her convictions by settling in Paris.
« Paris is the city of Art, the city that has brought a lot to artists over the centuries, whether in the Middle Ages, in the Enlightenment with Voltaire or Mozart, in the period of Romanticism with Musset or Baudelaire , and this until today « … « The French capital is at the base of their creativity, thanks to the prestige of its culture, its literature or fashion », declared this lover of classic singing and the Opera which she studied before turning to Pop. .
This new path led her towards beauty, a true spiritual value that she transmits between love of being and nature but also of glamour. His texts speak of the individual and the « management of oneself », his ideals, the « culture of the soul », the « desire to become a complete being because « Each person is there to evolve ». She does not live with conventions.
His inspirations
The Lost Star takes its name from the concept it created and from its first album « Red is not a safe colour », in which each song, written like a little story, pays homage to a mythical, imaginary or real heroine. This is most relationships between men and women.
The singer, pianist, composer and choreographer, of Vietnamese origin, An Ton That took care of the music, also for the second, « Midnight Rainbow ». He uses all styles: ballad, Latin, folk, rock, electro for a music without borders
The Italian soprano Magda Olivero, Kate Bush, Natacha Atlas, Lisa Ekdahl or Tom Waits, so many big names who inspired the work anchored deep in the soul of the diva, just like Cole Porter and Gershwin whom she admires.
On stage, accompanied by a pianist and a guitarist, the star appears in a feminine outfit, like a glamorous image. Every detail is important to create a perfect harmony between a certain style of bustier, lace and gloves, a mix of lyrical and erotic.
She takes us into her marvelous world, paying homage to Aphrodite or Mary Magdalene, « the wife of Jesus ». Her captivating and suave voice knows how to thrill the public, and delivers a message of sensuality, spirituality and romanticism, with the main theme of Love, Women and Freedom.
For the moment, no tour is planned in the USA, country of origin of the singer. His favorite countries to perform would rather be Morocco or Europe, especially Italy? Greece and of course France, or even Japan. At the moment, she is not interested in South America or the Gulf countries, although her songs are steeped in their rhythms.
The « Midnight Rainbow » Album
The album « Midnight Rainbow » has 12 tracks. For this new opus, The Lost Star has chosen Amadeo Barrios, choreographer and director, as the composer of its new titles.
The star displays non-conformism in the titles she has written. She breaks the clichés of women by expressing her most intimate and aesthetic visions, thus delivering her personality. No, she is not the object woman but rather a committed head woman, a leader!… You would even think you were in a kind of fairy tale. This album with disco-pop-soul tendencies is the accomplishment of his works, making you travel in his musical world and full of colors.
We discover « Freedom », Latin version of « Liberty, Freedom is not free ». It is a call to fight for our freedoms in today’s world, united or individually.

Clips are devoted to the titles « Midnight Rainbow », « Forever » or « Liberty »…
