“Let’s dance, cheek to cheek” …
I had initially planned to start my column with this verse.
But, with Dansong, we are not at all in the Aznavourian register of “old-fashioned pleasures”, not at all.
Lionel Damei has rather accents of Barbara, the volubility of a Freddie Mercury, the gestures of a greedy cat.
As for Léo-Paul Martinello, he mixes contemporary and urban dance, hip-hop, breakdance, house, electro …
I then seized the press kit … It is so rich that I immediately realized that it was impossible to add a single word to marvel at this show so powerful and so moving.
When I like a piece, there are signs for me that do not deceive.
I feel a kind of joy and my eyes fill with tears. An enthusiasm invades me, just like a powerful energy that fills me with joy and encourages me to write a column on this exceptional moment.
But this time, I will refrain from doing so, feeling unable to bring anything interesting to the criticism of this exhilarating piece.
I would still have liked to be able to write that “Dansong is a miracle of poetry and balance, between song, dance and music” … but, it’s already been said.
No, really, nothing more to add.
