Arnaud Boissières, Sponsor of this 23rd edition took place in Cap d’Agde from October 20 to November 1.

Visitors were able to get information and discuss with the many master sailmakers, equipment manufacturers and engine manufacturers. The topics covered were:

The know-how to rent a sailboat, the experience, the current maneuvers as well as the maneuvers of the Port.
A Special Nautical Job Dating was held on October 28 for commercial, electrician and technician trades and for shellfish farming trades.

Many conferences and training sessions were held from November 29 to 1.

The topics covered were:

 Safety with SNCM, La Technicité with Croix du Sud, Boat School Booster, FNPP and AS Yachting,
 Biodiversity with the Marine Protected Area (the Natura 2000 Site of the Cap d’Agde Posidonia on 6,152 hectares between the mouth of the Hérault River and Port Ambonne up to 3 nautical miles offshore) and ecological restoration with Récif ‘Lab and House of the Sea, The Fish Market of Grau d’Agde and Ecocean,
 The course of Arnaud Boissières, great navigator, the only skipper to have finished 4 consecutive Vendée Globe. Looking forward to its 5th Vendée Globe in 2024-2025.

The USHIP Academy and the NAVICAP team provided throughout this Autumn Boat Show, free 45-minute training in order to study or learn
 the uses of the different ropes,
 what types of sail for what use?,
 Port maneuvers by sailboat and motor boat,
 electronics on board,
 Antifouling,
 Engine and outboard maintenance,
 As well as the management and production of energy on board.

The engine manufacturers offered during this edition:

 Suzuki (outboard builder) has developed the world’s first suspended micro-plastic collector in their 115hp and 140hp engines. This waste is collected by filtration of the cooling water in order to be treated on land at Agent Croix du Sud;
 The Yanmar is offering two new engines for the Pleasure Range with the aim of improving comfort and equipped with Common Rail technology for low consumption and reduced emission of pollution at Agent Croix du Sud;
 The Mercury, The Verado V12, the new 600 CV V12 with two ratios, the first allows the base to plane quickly on a 45° angle and the second longer to consume less at Marine Center;
 The Yamaha with electric steering with the 425 and 375 XTO models. This is the first direct injection 4-stroke at Le Grand Large;
 The Volvo Penta offers parking assistance from the brand new “Assisted Docking” technology, which allows you to navigate more precisely in tight places at Agent Croix du Sud;
New electronics (a network router: connectivity on board the boat and outside the Raymarine boat at Nav’Elec);
New equipment such as: Automatic vest, 450 Temo electric motor, Oxsea, mini diving bottles, the 1.9m roll-up gaff) were put in the spotlight.

The big brands presented their new products:

For Jeanneau, the Cap Camrarat 7.5 Series 3 and the Cap Camarat 10.5 CC models. Two “Leisure” boats offering for the first for 8 people comfort, relaxation and for 4 people in the second case.
For Beneteau, the Flyer 8, Le Gran Tourismo 45, Antarès 8 and Le Pardo 43 models were visible at Marine Center;
For Quicksilver, the 705 Pilothouse, 475 Axess and Activ 675 Weekend models were visible at Évasion Nautisme;
For Hanse, the Hanse 460 and Rick 280 models were visible on the Hanse Stand in the Cap d’Agde technical area at Navicap.

New at Les Voiles:

Technological progress has allowed the Danish equipment manufacturer Elvstrom Sails since the end of 2021 to manufacture sails made from recycled plastic (polyester laminate).
A global ecological approach has been initiated by the equipment manufacturer. Elvstrom Sails specifies that the price of recycled sails is the same as that of new sails. The Danish equipment manufacturer Elvstrom Sails believes that the customer will decide to choose the eco-responsible, sustainable solution.

The “SORAC” Regatta Society of Agde and Cap d’Agde and the Club Nautique L’Escala Catalonia, near Empurias in Spain, organize a Franco-Catalan regatta.

The Autumn Boat Show allows many visitors to discover, acquire or equip their boat and stroll around the port area, on the quays of the Centre-Port.
