This Monday, March 4, the charity evening “Les talents du coeur” was held at the Salle Gaveau in Paris. Personalities, patrons and friends of the Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque association to save four little hearts. Among the supporters of this charitable and musical evening, we were able to meet Prince Joachim Murat and his wife, Princess Yasmine.
Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque’s Evening of the Heart is a festive charity event to raise funds to save children from their heart defects.
A seven-year ritual that saves children around the world who are unable to undergo surgery.
Partners, personalities, host families and surgeons went to the Gaveau room, in Paris, to support children with heart problems this Monday, March 4. Sandy Heribert was the godmother of the event and the artist marquis, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, designed the poster for the evening and created the scenography. Many personalities from the world of sport, cinema, television and politics have given their support to Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque. Among the personalities present: Ségolène Royal, Roselyne Bachelot, Michèle Alliot-Marie, Danièle Gilbert, the fashion designer Chantal Thomass, the actress Carole Richert, the designers Jean-Claude Jitrois and Christophe Guillarmé, and the singer Nicoletta, who is present every year, … etc.
The charity evening, which provides support in France for the care of children suffering from heart disease, takes the form of a musical evening. The guests were also able to enjoy the show prepared by pianist Marc-Olivier Poingt.
Marc-Olivier Poingt travels at his own pace, opening multiple traces which intersect and multiply his imagination as a composer.
The pianist and music have no borders or barriers, simply gateways and bridges that he likes to take to travel in his different universes, in his different colors.
On the program, dancer Karine Herrou-Gonzalez joined the stage to offer a performance to the sound of the piano. Then, singer Carolina Alabau performed “La vie en rose” on stage. As for the pianist, he performed selected pieces by Georges Bizat, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Astor Piazzola, Isaac Albéniz and Carlos Gardel, in accordance with the theme “A journey without borders”.
Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque was founded in 1996 by Professor Francine Leca. Each year, Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque finances heart operations for more than 400 children who live in countries where they cannot be operated on due to lack of technical and financial resources. The foundation is also a family story because it is today headed by Orso Chetochine, the son of the founder.
Since 2016, the association has counted on the support of the Massillon School to save children through various events (cross country, sporting challenges, etc.). As its name suggests, during the Talents of the Heart, it is the talent of the students that is put in the spotlight. And they have no shortage of talent! Singing, music, dance, gymnastics, visual arts… present every year through their artistic performances. A child with a good heart saves a child with a sick heart.
Thanks to the generosity of partners and guests, the “Mécénat Chirurgie Cardiaque” association will provide heart operations for 4 children around the world.
