The 2022-2023 Women’s French Rugby Cup opposes the twelve best French women’s rugby union teams, those participating in the Elite 1 championship. The competition is organized during international periods when national teams compete in the World Cup in New Zealand and the 2023 Women’s Six Nations Championship.
The season takes place according to a formula composed of a qualifying phase and a final phase. During the qualifying phase, the teams play 6 matches, 3 receptions and 3 trips. The top two teams from each group qualify for the semi-finals.
The teams having participated in all the matches of the qualifying phase win a bonus of 3 points for the Elite 1 championship.
Les Toulousaines made club history by becoming French champions for the first time after two unsuccessful finals in 2018 and 2019. They beat their neighbors Blagnac and will once again be among the favorites this season with a squad made up of internationals . The only question mark will be to see in what mental and physical state they will return from the World Cup.
Reigning French champions, the players of Stade Toulousain began their season on the weekend of October 8-9 with the reception of Grenoble, in the Coupe de France.
Women’s French Cup (1st day): Stade Toulousain (offensive bonus) – FCG Amazones 31-10.
