Juliette Minvielle performed in concert at the Jules Baudou Museum in Agde

Juliette Minvielle is a musician with a passion for languages. The artist sings in Italian, sings polyphonic songs in Occitan and even Arabic songs. Which ones best express love for her.

From Gascon-Béarnais polyphonic singing to Brazilian rhythms, Juliette Minvieille is an artist playing the piano, the tambourine, the jew’s harp, the triangle… And through her rhythms, the musician-singer invites the spectators to dance.

Juliette Minvielle had accompanied her father at a previous concert and the public had been able to discover her many talents.

Juliette Minvieille grew up in a musical environment with her father who played in the “Uzeste Musical” Festival 60 km south of Bordeaux, her mother also worked there.

Juliette Minvieille took her first steps there with the other children of the parents who were performing and all together put on a play. She continued to do theater and the artist began by playing piano by ear, jew’s harp, tambourines.

Juliette Minvieille took piano lessons. She took singing lessons once a week. The artist took singing lessons at SIAM when she arrived in Toulouse. In Pau, the artist worked for 4 years at the Occitan Institute, she wanted to learn Occitan, Gascon Béarnais; His maternal grandparents speak Béarnais, his father sings it but does not speak it, his mother understands it very well, but when the grandparents spoke to their children, they spoke in French.

His father listened to him play and offered to accompany him to the balls.

Through her musical encounters, she joined the world of Gascon balls within Laüsa.

With Laûsa, in a quartet, she enters another world, the waltz, the maloya, she uses percussion.

Through polyphony, she managed to swing her piano, singing by highlighting the collection of songs from Aquitaine, scores, lyrics…

Juliette Minvielle explains to the public that it is difficult to translate Occitan into French. You have to think Occitan to write Occitan.

She is a superb artist with a magnificent voice that we always recognize. Juliette Minvielle leads her audience in a traditional and revisited dance.
