The last three meetings with the teams (BORDEAUX, LES SABLES and VANVES) allowed the TBC team to win three consecutive victories, after losing to VITRE, the team ranked third in the standings which managed to beat VANVES .
The Toulouse basketball club is in 7th position in the standings after the victory against VANVES, having lost only one match with VITRE, out of the last 5 matches played.
Vanves was ranked last in the standings losing 5 consecutive matches, during meetings with his opponents (LORIENT, ANGERS, TARBES, VITRE and TOULOUSE) with a total of 19 points.
On March 5 at 8 p.m. TBC will meet DAX and on March 9 the RUEIL team, but VANVES will meet BORDEAUX on March 6 at 8 p.m. and LES SABLES on March 9. Both matches appear to be a challenge for TBC, but also a chance to move up the standings if they manage to clinch victory with their opponents.
In the 17th day of N1M, the Toulouse, lacking rhythm, took 25 minutes before blowing a gust of Autan on Vanves to win widely with an efficient bench.
The TBC let Gabsi open the scoring at 3 points. While they are aggressive in attack (2 fouls in 5 minutes for the two Vanvean pivot Vertus and Buval), they are much less so in defense. After passing, thanks to Joseph and Djambo, in command (6-3, 4th) they offer too much space to Bourgault and Desroses (3 out of 4 to 3 points). Faced with an awkward TBC Vanves escapes (15-21, 9th). Mopsus and Kouyaté bring Toulouse together (20-21, 10th).
The Toulousains push Vanves several times not to be able to shoot in 24 seconds. Vanves did not offer any easy basket for Toulouse who turned head at the break (32-31) after a crossover which resumed in the third period (34-36, 23rd, 40-38, 25th). The injury of the visiting leader Sauzeau leaves more freedom to an excellent Mopsus (8 points in 4 minutes) who, helped by Thimon, widens a gap of 10 points (50-40, 29th) and the TBC will succeed in doubling (71- 51, 38e). The locals cracked up Vanves, who made a lot of mistakes and offered free throws (19 in 10 minutes) to Toulouse, who won widely (77-58).
The victory is collective for Toulouse and the three players deserve to be highlighted. Victor Mopsus (11 points, 2 of 5 to 3 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 fouls provoked), Yohan Solle (11 points, 5 of 6 on shots, 9 rebounds) and Thibaud Gottin (8 points, 5 rebounds, 4 faults provoked) proved that the Toulouse bench was rich.
