By winning on the lawn of Narbonne 24-26, a direct competitor at the bottom of the classification, the Lot et Garonnais finally hope to launch a positive series. Agen has yet to show his talent, but has shown determination.

Despite an air pocket in the first half (led 13-9 at half-time), the Agenais found the resources to correct the situation in the second half and score two tries through captain Vincent Farré and Fijian center Kolinio Ramoka, still sparkling on the lawn of the Narbonne Sports and Friendship Park.

But this match of fear was finally played out in the very last moments of the game and it was the South African opening half of the SUA, Danré Gerber, who arrived this winter from Chambéry (Nationale), who tipped the match in favor of the Lot-et-Garonnais.

Thanks to this victory, the SU Agen gives itself a little air in the fight for the maintenance in Pro D2. Now 12th (with 30 points), the relegated Top 14 will now carefully observe the results of Rouen and Grenoble, which he therefore exceeds in the standings. Agen, who will be able to try to chain a third meeting without defeat next week , with the reception of Vannes in its Armandie stadium. For Narbonne, it is an 11th game in a row without a win (10 losses and 1 draw) which anchors the Audois a little more still in last place in the standings (17 points). For the RCN, the horizon does not really emerge with a trip planned for the end of next week on the lawn of the leader Mont-de-Marsan.

Thanks to this success, the Agenais go back virtually to 12th place, just ahead of Grenoble. Narbonne, who still pocketed the defensive bonus point against the SUA, remains dead last in Pro D2, with 9 points behind Rouen (14th and first non-relegation) and 6 on Bourg-en-Bresse (15th). It was well worth a song of victory and scenes of joy in the Agenais locker room, which had lost the habit of experiencing such moments over the past two seasons.
