Mia, inspired by a little girl

It all started in the summer of 2022, when a group of children were playing in front of the block, and their screams brought the writer back to life, while she enjoyed the music.

“I’m lying on my sofa, listening to Wallen’s voice singing poignant lyrics to melodies that have accompanied me for years already. These words that stick to my skin so much, that touch my very soul…
The heat is overwhelming in the summer of 2022. I get up to quench my thirst with a large glass of cold water.”

This is how the desire to write a book was born, explains Majda SALL, after a hot and sultry summer, a good time of relaxation and music, there is still a glass of cold water to bring back physical comfort, but the voices of children downstairs heard through the open window, becomes a divine force of inspiration. For what ?

“I hear children’s laughter coming up to me. I lean over and observe little boys and girls happily playing. One of them catches my attention… Her black hair is very long and already reach the small of her back. How old is she? Five, six years old? Maybe seven… She is so pretty with her angelic face and her carefree nature which makes her sunny. This little girl looks like me, I “I was exactly like her a few years ago.”

Here we discover the secret that helped the writer have the courage to explain how she felt as a child, that she was full, but that extra weight followed her into her physical mass for many years, until she managed to reduce the excess by returning to her normal weight. Years of childhood and youth marked Majda’s existence, we discover in the biography of this book inspired by a hot summer last year.

“This kid that I don’t know, who was playing at the bottom of my Parisian building, will be a real trigger for me.
I got up to go to my office. I absolutely had to write, to pass on my story, to bear witness to the hell I had experienced. For this little girl and for all those who risk one day being confronted with a real scourge of society…”

We all know what the complex is when someone has an unsatisfactory physical appearance, and even more so the reaction of the generation in which we live, the aggressive remarks, the harsh element suffered by the expressed nastiness, this is the story that marked “MIA”, saying how painful it is to be judged by friends, colleagues or even children your own age. When you become a teenager and later a young woman, and you see your friends shopping and being proud of their bodies, you end up feeling inferior, because you experienced injustice in your childhood because of your excess weight, this Obesity is often found in children and youth, and that becomes complex when you are attacked by people around you.
