It was one of the surviving last of Holocaust (Shoah). The old one off–set of Auschwitz, Ida Grinspan, died at the 89 years age.
The old one off–set of Auschwitz Ida Grinspan died at the 89 years age, announced on Monday night the deputy of Deux–Sèvres Delphine Batho on his Twitter account.
“I have the immense unhappiness to inform Deux–Sévriens of the disappearance of our protected Ida Grinspan, exceptional woman of courage and love of life”, the deputy announced. “Surviving to Holocaust « Shoah », she always testified to the young people and often visit returned to us. It was my friend”, Delphine Batho added.
Ida Grinspan was born in Paris in 1929, parents originating in Poland and made to France six years earlier to flee the anti–semitism. To the beginning of the Second World War, in 1940 his/her parents entrust it to a family of farmers, Alice and Paul Mercé, to put it at the shelter in a small village of Deux–Sèvres where it will be stopped in the night of January 30th, 1943 by three gendarmes, it was 14 years old. It was off–set of Drancy on February 10th, 1944 towards Auschwitz, by the convoy n°68.
Ida Grinspan had been provided education for at the beginning of the Second World War, of the school of Sompt (Deux–Sèvres) and in June 2016 the school devoted of a plate in its honor.
Before it, his/her mother – stopped on July 16th, 1942 at the time of the raid of Vel d‘ Hiv– had been also off–set towards Auschwitz, by the convoy n°11. The father, it, had been off–set in July 1944 by the convoy n°77. The parents will never return from Auschwitz.
Released on May 2nd, 1945 of the camp of Neustadt–Glewe in Germany, Ida Grinspan, had found that his brother.

The Ida went in places of peace after a rather tumultuous life.
