In 2012, with only five bands playing in front of 600 spectators, the Mennecy Metal Fest appeared, today has grown a lot. Ten years later, the event welcomed more than 3,000 people over three days and internationally renowned formations.
36 groups toured the stages of the festival in the different stages of the event: with ghosts (Tagada Jones, Bukowski, Atlantis Chronicles, KOB or even Fatima), illustrious newcomers (the British grindcore group Napalm Death, the guitarist American Joe Stump, Onslaught, or the Finn Finntroll,…), but also emerging groups.
Fans of hard rock, heavy metal, hardcore and death metal enjoyed and experienced the beats on both festival stages. For the realization of this project, about forty volunteers, municipal agents and partners worked on the programming and the organization of the festival.
Canceled in 2020, the festival returned in 2021. For this edition, the event took place outdoors after several years held within the Espace Culturel Jean Jacques Robert.
Hard and metal music lovers are waiting for next year’s edition, to relive unforgettable moments.
