Equations, powers, algebra, arithmetic, theorems, algorithm… For those which are deeply hermetic there, mathematics is abstract and completely uninteresting.
And yet. Their logic and their utility are not any more to prove. They have a rational truth: that of the reasoning and the demonstration which made it possible to lead to large things and to make considerable advances. Can an inconsistency, a contradiction “be sometimes withdrawn there”, but is in so far as it is necessary to call into question their scientific reliability?
It is that of which it is question in the test of Maurice Arnoux (homonymous of the French aviator). Via the theory of the functions and numbers, it gives us a masterly course of maths.

At the time antique already, the Egyptians, like the Greeks or the Indians conducted studies on the numbers associated with the space time. The math student does not make to continue them by exposing there their paradoxes vis–a–vis the analysis of space expanding. “CQFD” (note: was what it necessary to show) not?
