The last solo circuit to the “Cirque d’Hiver” for Jacques Higelin

Jacques Higelin took his last leave with the circus from winter before being buried with the cemetery of Père Lachaise in Paris in the presence of his family, from personalities and many anonymous fans.

More than one thousand of people was present at the funeral of this irreplaceable libertarian in their eyes. Since the announcement of its death on April 6th, the homages did not cease flowing.

The ceremony proceeded in two parts, initially the homage to the Cirque dHiver in the presence of its close relations and of his/her friends and then the burial with the cemetery of Père Lachaise. The family had decided that the Circus of winter in the center of Paris was the best place to pay him homage, this mythical place where it had brought together many spectators and had made them sing so many times. It was thus obvious that this musical goodbye takes place in this place.

A photograph of Jacques Higelin sat enthroned on the frontage of the Cirque dHiver. Inside, petals of flowers and sunflowers strewed the scene where the coffin rested in the center. The three children, Arthur H, Kên and Izia, which sang irradiated, the masters of ceremony played. Many personalities of the policy such as the Minister for the culture, Francoise Nyssen or the mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo and the ex Minister for the culture Jack Lang the world of the song and the show was also present with representatives such JeanLouis Aubert and Louis Bertignac, Catherine Ringer of Rita Mitsouko, Cali, Alain Souchon, Axel Bauer, Charlelie Couture, Tom November or Armande Altai.

The exit of the Cirque dHiver, the coffin was applauded then the convoy moved towards the cemetery of Père Lachaise where more than one thousand of fans waited.

With the cemetery, his/her Izia daughter made a point of thanking all those which were present to greet Jacques, it exhorted many crowd come in spite of the rainy weather, made it applaud and take again the titles of the missing singer. The tears and the pain gave way to many emotion and even the smiles in front of a very plain stepfamily but. The three children were accompanied by their respective mother and the close friends like Mathieu Chedid or Romane Bohringer who was the partner of Kên.

The ceremony ended in the ground setting after Arthur H sang Leave, and especially is not turned over Crowd then could go to collect itself on the tomb of the poet rocknroll. Some had even brought a bottle of champagne which they emerged and drank in its honor according to the title of its song Champagne.
