Alone in an autobiographical scene that tells us in songs the suffering of being different.
From confidence to confidence, often funny and poignant, Fred Faure manages to touch us because his speech, which speaks of a difficult experience, rings true.
Dalida is his childhood idol.
He takes up her songs, Gigi, Paroles, Besame, J’attendrai … to express each of the stages of his life marked by social, family, and romantic difficulties.
He sings, sings, dances, dances, to exist. Dalida vibrates in him. Through her, he ends up asserting himself, accepting himself and finding love.
To die on stage? No, to live there in front of the spectators, confidants of his catharsis.
A warm and sincere tribute from a fan to Dalida whose support for the homosexual cause since 1972 is known.
A remarkably written play. Very good staging.
