130 dead, 350 wounded, six years ago to the day, Islamic State commandos hit Paris in the heart. Suicide attacks at the Stade de France, shootings on the terraces of the 10th and 11th arrondissements, but also in the concert hall of the Bataclan. At the time of the commemorations that take place all day this Saturday, the pain is still keen in these neighborhoods.

The mayor of Paris has announced commemorations “under the sign of sobriety, dignity and meditation”, while the trial of the attacks of November 13 continues.

A ceremony chaired by Prime Minister Jean Castex and Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo, accompanied by Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin and former Minister of the Interior Bernard Cazeneuve.

Peregrination on the six mourning sites

The tribute ceremony began around 9 am at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis, the first site affected by the attacks, a “suicide bomber” blew himself up in front of the sports arena where the friendly match between France and Germany.

Then tributes were paid on each of the bereaved Parisian terraces on the evening of November 13, 2015, starting with the “Petit-Cambodge” and the “Carillon” in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, … “La Bellequipe”, etc. The pilgrimage ended around 11 a.m. at the Bataclan, in front of the commemorative plaque, unveiled in 2016.

A tribute to the victims, including a minute of silence and the wearing of an armband by the Blues, will also be paid to the Parc des Princes on the occasion of the France-Kazakhstan match, which qualifies for the 2022 Football World Cup at 8:45 p.m. the Football Federation announced on Wednesday.
