2022 is going to be a great year for Chris BonAmour, full of success and optimism, as indicated by the title of his album, “OPTIMIIIST”.

This album comes after the release of 2 EP of 4 tracks: and a first album “BIM BIM BAM. His first EP, electropop” Tranquille “was released in 2017 and the second” DNA “when he left for Ukraine, a very fond country French music, which featured Joe Dassin’s song, “Et si tu n’existe pas”; “Jolie Môme” by Léo Ferré; “Boom!” by Charles Trenet and “Voyage, Voyage” by Desireless.
Last year, the first album, “BIM BIM BAM was released on all platforms, with 12 tracks including” Non non, j’irai pas “,” Les forces de mon soul “,” You can leave alone “and “To infinity and for life”.

About fifteen clips were made for the first 3 opus which brings together about twenty songs. There are nearly 380,000 views. That of “To infinity and for life” was filmed in part in California, in Joshua Tree, from a drone. This made it possible to get away from it all while listening to catchy sounds and above all to keep morale up despite the events.

The new album “Optimiiiste” will be released on January 4th on all platforms. A physics outing is scheduled for 2022 to thank the people who participated. There will be a red colored CD, made in England, in January and a 33 rpm vinyl in February 2022.

Who is Chris BonAmour?

Chris BonAmour, whose real name is Christian Bonnamour, is from Lyon. Artist, author, composer and performer, he likes to transform everything that touches him by using humor and good humor … Whatever the situation, his songs speak of what he is passionate about: animals, people, life and animals. friends and what happens to them, love, jealousy, envy, doubts but also current events and climatic problems.
Traveling extensively including in Ukraine, he changes his name to Chris BonAmour, which is easier to remember. In addition, he interprets all his songs in French.
His taste for music is innate, very small, he sang all the time, to the point that the neighbors came to complain. It has always represented the joy of living.

His beginnings in working life were with Claude Carrère, as an intern in Paris. This is how he met many artists such as Sheila, Dalida, Claude François, Annie Cordy or even Line Renaud. .. At that time already, he loved music, he attended the Olympia, several times a week thanks to Paulette Coquatrix and had his place reserved. He was able to see all the artists, they made him want to do this job and take their place on stage. His dream is to move to the Olympia.

The years in the fashion world

After several years, he joined Yves St Laurent as a salesman, in the shop in the rue du faubourg St Honoré. He will stay there for nearly twenty years. and will have the opportunity to be close to Empress Farah Diba, wife of the Shah of Iran, MR Pahlavi, Princess Grace of Monaco, Ms. Paulette Coquatrix, actress Catherine Deneuve or singer Elton John. offered his glasses (we can also see them in his first clip: “I would like”).
At the same time, he continues to write songs in case he could one day become the interpreter.

After Yves St Laurent, he joined Raph Lauren but had to stop working after 12 years, following a major health problem. During his hospitalization, he wrote 2 songs. We are in 2017 and he decides to resume his first passion, the song.

Back to music

From this moment, things go very quickly. His meeting with Etienne Louvain, who becomes his press attaché, allows him to work with Valentin Aubert (producer of Christophe Maé’s latest album). This collaboration with his “Dream Team”, as he calls it, allows him the release of the first EP “Tranquille”. Now, thanks to Etienne Louvain, Chris has found his musical style, electro, when he came from pop and even French variety.
In 2021 he has a new press attaché who offers him new ideas, press conferences and radio interviews, another way of working.

A tour of Ukraine

Thanks to Etienne Louvain and one of his contacts, the Franco-Ukrainian singer, Paul Manandise, Chris BonAmour undertakes a promotional tour in Ukraine where he appears on different radios, a live TV where he was the main guest for an hour. Ukrainians welcome her like a rock star. They know everything about him, including his time in the fashion world. and above all they have a lot of respect, they just look at the artist and the human being. In addition, it belongs to the French song, “sanctified” in the country.

It is also in Ukraine, that he shoots 2 clips: the cover of “If you did not exist” (EP “DNA”) by Joe Dassin, adored in Ukraine and “Ce Matin” (EP “Tranquille”) shot in Kiev.
Paul Mandanise also invited him to participate in his tour of Ukraine. He would perform 4 to 5 titles there.

How does Chris BonAmour work?

The choice of subjects is always about people, feelings, relationships, or regrets; whatever the theme, we find humor and happiness, sometimes on serious themes.

In his work, Chris begins by writing his songs. Not playing any instrument, he records himself on a dictaphone because the melodies come into his head, at the same time as what he writes. Once the song is over, he goes to his arranger Gio, who does Rap. He begins by singing a capela and explains what he wants in terms of rhythms and arrangements.

Regarding the recording of the first album which contains many themes, it was released in full confinement, in April 2020. Chris first worked at home and then in the studio.

So far, little has happened on stage. First of all show-cases and her dream would be to share the stage with Véronique Sanson, Isabelle Boulay or even Julien Doré.

On August 1, 2021, he performed at the 3rd edition of the “Le Salagou en chanson” Festival in Clermont l’Hérault. The president, Alexandra Boccadifluoco makes her play the first part of Mickael Jones.

The “Optimiiist” album

“Optiiimiste” is the second 12-track album from Chris BonAmour. It will be released on all platforms on January 4, 2022. Graphic designer Stéphanie Pré has illustrated it according to the singer’s requests and wishes. He wanted to share the positive waves emanating from his 12 new titles, while wanting to save the planet. The teaser has just been released for Christmas.
The project was imagined in collaboration with Frédéric Lévy and the recording made and recorded at Gio’s N7W studio. It is the result of a year and a half of work. We will still have to wait for the release of the 12 clips. We had to choose between recording the album and making the clips. We are therefore going to be patient to discover the “Optimiiist” imaging that allows us to be positive; of “Josette” who talks about cosmetic surgery; of “These small gestures” which makes us aware of pollution; from “Malin”, a song written following a conversation after Chris’ health problems or even “I want the real” which balances the real and the virtual. The other tracks on this album are: “All roads”, “Remember to forget”, “You know what”, “Hide your joy”, “They would like to make you believe”, “Tell me what would you say? , “and” Nikola “in tribute to a friend who recently passed away.
