Colomiers produced one of the most dramatic comebacks of the Pro D2 season, overturning a 16-point deficit in the final ten minutes to defeat Oyonnax 24–23 in a thrilling encounter.

Oyonnax in control from the opening minutes

From the very start, Oyonnax set the tempo. Strong in the set-piece and extremely accurate with the boot, the visitors took an early lead through a penalty from Justin Bouraux.

Their dominance soon turned into tries. Enzo Reybier finished a well-worked move on the right wing, before Colomiers briefly responded through Vincent Pinto. Oyonnax quickly regained control, with Hermet powering over for another try and Bouraux adding further points before half-time.

At the break, Oyonnax held a commanding 23–7 advantage.

A one-sided contest for over an hour

The second half followed the same pattern. Oyonnax controlled territory and possession, defended aggressively and denied Colomiers any real attacking momentum.

Mistakes crept into the home side’s game, and with ten minutes remaining, the outcome appeared all but decided.

The turning point: belief returns

Everything changed at the 70th minute. Matías Osadczuk crossed the line for Colomiers, sparking belief among the players and the crowd.

Moments later, after sustained pressure and multiple phases, Ugo Séguéla finished a collective move to bring Colomiers right back into the contest. Although the conversion was missed, momentum had clearly shifted.

Late drama and a stunning finish

With only minutes left, Colomiers struck again. From a line-out drive, the ball was quickly moved wide, allowing Julien Béchu to break through and score the decisive try.

Fly-half Valentin Delpy calmly converted under immense pressure, giving Colomiers the lead for the first time in the match. The stadium erupted.

A comeback to remember

Three tries in eight minutes, no points conceded at the end — an extraordinary turnaround built on character and belief. “You can’t really explain it,” admitted co-coach Aurélien Béco. “The players’ nature simply took over.”

The win keeps Colomiers firmly among the top contenders in Pro D2, while Oyonnax are left with a bitter defensive bonus after controlling the match for so long.
