At the Michel-Bendichou stadium, US Colomiers dominated Aurillac (22-19) as part of the second day of Pro D2.
The Columérins were expected at the Michel-Bendichou stadium this Friday evening against Aurillac. Finally, Colomiers confirmed this good start to the season by winning in the last minutes (22-19) during the second day of Pro D2.
In the fifth minute of play on a penalty, Abzhandadze rewards the Aurillac efforts at 0 – 3. The locals respond and the Argentinian recruit Joaquin de la Vega puts the two teams back on level terms (3 – 3, 8th). On a touchline, Huurman hits the Columérin receiver and de la Vega continues his recital (16 – 6, 48th). A minute later, Abzhandadze responds and puts Aurillac back to a converted try of the locals (16 – 9, 49th).
Aurillac finds the fault in stride. After a touch, the local pack explodes and Lucas Oudard finds the fault “in filou” in a maul to score the first try of his team (16 – 16, 57th).
Vega put pressure on the visitors (19 – 16, 65th) before Hugo Bastard answers him in the money-time (19 – 19, 75th). Even if it rains, the match is very close, the two teams fight for the victory.
Four minutes later it is Joaquin de la Vega the n° 10 columérin who has the last word (22 – 19, 79th), offering the victory to the Columérins one minute from the end of regulation time.
