Discover the new government team reworked

At the end of the first council of ministers of this government team, this Wednesday, October 17, ministers and secretaries of state have posed on the steps of the perron of the Elysee.

The wait ended on Tuesday morning: after two weeks of discussions, the Elysee announced on Tuesday, the new government team reworked, supposed to bring a « second wind » to the five-year of Emmanuel Macron, after a summer and a back home chaotic. Christophe Castaner, becomes Minister of the Interior to replace Gerard Collomb, resigned. He will be assisted by Laurent Nuñez, appointed Secretary of State. Laurent Nuñez is the current boss of the internal intelligence services, the DGSI. During the transfer of power with Edouard Philippe, who was acting in this position, the prime minister felt that Castaner was « perfectly equipped to face this mission ».

Didier Guillaume, becomes Minister of Agriculture to replace Stéphane Travert, who leaves the government. During the transfer of power, Didier Guillaume assured that he was going to be a « tireless activist, defender and promoter of agriculture ».

At the head of a large ministry, she is assisted by Sébastien Lecornu, appointed minister to her in charge of local authorities, and Julien Denormandie, minister in charge of the city and housing.

Emmanuelle Wargon is appointed Secretary of State to the Minister of Ecological and Solidarity Transition to replace Sébastien Lecornu.
Agnès Pannier-Runacher is also appointed Secretary of State to the Minister of Economy and Finance.
