Gaspard Ulliel’s funeral: family and loved ones gathered for the last tribute to the actor

This Thursday, January 27, took place the funeral of Gaspard Ulliel in the Saint-Eustache church, in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. From his family to his closest friends, many people came to bid him a final farewell.

The death of Gaspard Ulliel, who died after a tragic skiing accident on January 19, 2022, has left all French people in mourning. It must be said that in addition to being a star of French and international cinema, Gaspard was only 37 years old and was the father of a six-year-old boy, Orso, the fruit of his love affair with the model Gaëlle Pietri. On the Web, the tributes have therefore flowed, in particular from his colleagues in the cinema, such as Pierre Niney or even Jean Dujardin. Even Prime Minister Jean Castex split a few words on Twitter, declaring that “the cinema has grown with him”.

It is in this church, in the heart of the Halles district, that many personalities have made the trip to salute his memory. Thus, we were able to see his best friend Jérémie Rénier, Catherine Deneuve, Nathalie Baye and Isabelle Huppert.

But also the director Hugo Gélin, Louis Garrel, Mélanie Thierry, to whom he gave the reply in The Princess of Montpensier, accompanied by his companion Raphaël. An event where many people made the trip to bid a final farewell to Gaspard Ulliel, and show their support for those close to them. We saw striking images of his parents, Christine and Serge Ulliel naturally present, just like Gaëlle Piétri and their son Orso. At their side the director Eric Lartigau, ex-husband of Marina Foïs. We felt all along an enormous emotion on his very young faces. Feeling the seriousness of all his friends who tried to comfort each other this morning, but who still seem to be struggling to believe it.

On the side of the resort of La Rosière, in Savoie, where Gaspard Ulliel tragically lost his life, the emotion is still strong. This Thursday, January 27, a tribute took place in the ski area: at 3:58 p.m., the time of the tragedy, all the ski lifts were stopped for one minute. Two minutes later, the cremation ceremony takes place at the Père Lachaise crematorium.
