The National House of Artists, offers to rediscover the posters of films of the artist Vanni Tealdi (1928-1998), made between the 1950s and the end of the 1980s. The exhibition highlights the particular work of illustration of posters for the cinema that Vanni Tealdi has made.
A draftsman of cinema posters and an illustrator of novels for young people, Vanni Tealdi drew a very large number of movie posters. It is a crossing of the history of cinema and mainly that of the popular cinema to which the exhibition invites us. Posters created for spaghetti western movies, black films and sci-fi movies are on display. We thus discover a whole anthology of posters as for example: For a Handful of Dollars, Sodom and Gomorrah, the Great Wall, Shooting in the Night …
It’s a whole period of illustration when it did not replace photography yet.
Vanni Tealdi has resided at the National House of Artists who pays tribute to him.
Exhibition to discover until December 29, 2019.
