Jovial and full of enthusiasm, this show, spoken and sung, is performed by very good actor-singers. It traces the life of the woman of letters, actress and journalist Colette, born in 1873 in the department of Yonne and died in 1954 in Paris.
She was the first woman in France to receive a state funeral.
A musical play mainly about the period when Colette, following her divorce from her mentor Willy, joined a traveling theater troupe. She does striptease and mime to earn a living.
She will live a love story with the aristocrat Missy, torn between a comfortable life offered to her by her companion and her thirst for emancipation.
She will then experience a mad love affair that pushes her to join Henry de Jouvenel, the man she has just married, incognito on the Verdun front.
A beautiful staging, old-fashioned songs, in keeping with the period played.
We have a very pleasant time in the company of our three talented actors and Colette.
