FAIR OF PHOTO WITH BEAVERS

In France, there exist several fairs and international fairs relating to the photography of which the “Photo Fair of Chelles” which has been held for 39 years in Chelles (77) in the Parisian suburbs all the 3èmes dimanches from March of 9 at 18:00 accommodating more than 250 professional or particular exhibitors coming from the 4 corners of the world; “The International exhibition of the Photograph of Beavers at the beginning of June, one of most famous and the Living room of the Photograph from November 8th to November 11th this year to discover the first fails world dedicated to the photographic medium.

The 55ème International exhibition of the Photograph of Beavers was held last June 2nd and 3rd. She addresses to the amateurs photographs and of equipment.

Each year, it accommodates several markets: photographic occasion and antiquities which constitutes an appointment impossible to circumvent for the most 200 exhibitors; artists where a hundred photographers, amateurs and professionals, French and foreigners find themselves, only or sharing with a several stand, nine and its services; the Fair of the photograph innovates by opening this year a new market of the nine and services which is an innovation this year. In 2016, a pole of the alternative processes was created to buy there equipment and the products necessary to the silver and alternative processes.

Exhibitions and animations were distributed over the 2 days (Olivier Culmann invited of honor 2018, exhibitions, 11th meeting of Beaver, conference and workshops on the photographic intention, workshops of the alternative processes, the prices of the Fair, competitions “Your photographs on the Fair”, dedications, the executives photographic and the transitory studios, readings of portfolio, free wall of exposure, exposure “the photographers bièvrois have had talent” (exposure renewed for a few years which occurs in all the streets of the town of mid—semi at mid-July, competition is opened all to the photographers biévrois, with the members of associations of photographers of Beavers and with those which work with Beavers, it was held until April 10th) and “All photographers!” to discover or rediscover silver photography, the brilliant invention of Kodak at the end of the 19th century, the disposable device of the years 1980, the advertising speeches which marked the spirits or original creations “expert” amateurs.

The practice of photography is a universal leisure which profited from an incredible diffusion. At the time of the last editions, the exhibitions were devoted to Jane Evelyn Atwood, John and Claude Batho, Isabel Muñoz. This year, it is Olivier Culmann who was with the honor, it presented two of its emblematic series to it, Around, New York 2001–2002 and Watching TV.

Olivier Culmann was born in 1970 his work relates to freedom and conditioning. In the Nineties, he collaborates with Mat Jacob with who he travels in several countries to photograph “the Worlds of the school”, a work on educational establishment, the constraints and insubordinations which are born to with it.
With” a chicken Life”, this approach more openly associates still humour with the narration. It associates with it two reports put in glance, one on an industrial poultry chain and the other on the last called of the quota.

The next edition will be held June 1st and 2nd, 2019.
