Toulouse: ÖJA in concert at the music factory

On February 24, Öja was in concert at the music factory in Toulouse. She is a composer and performer from Toulouse, with a unique and dancing electro-pop universe.

In July 2021, she released her first EP titled “interrogation”. The first part was provided by Andri, originally from Marmande in Lot-et-Garonne, from the Toulouse conservatory and noticed during the Garorock Festival when she was a volunteer.

This project was born, about a year after the posting of the clip for his single, “T’es Qui Toi”.
This time, Justine, alias Öja, a young singer in a completely different style, is talking about her, through her first EP, called interrogation “? “.

An original title chosen during a conversation with his mother and which has become obvious.
The EP, which includes five tracks with electro-pop sounds, is today the pride of the Toulouse artist. However, its realization was not originally a primary objective for it. “I was quite reluctant to do anything other than singles, probably out of fear.”

The desire to retain an audience and to discover his work finally took over his fears.
Possessing a particular affinity for the sounds of the 80s, she owes this wide range of musical knowledge in part to her parents.

Today, Öja composes and writes her own songs at home in her studio. But the artist is not totally alone since she collaborates with an arranger, to achieve the final version of her pieces. “It’s always better to have an outside opinion”, explains the singer.

Armed with her powerful rock-influenced voice, she went on stage, and why not one day, will live entirely from her music.
