In Round 2 of the Women’s Elite 1 championship, Stade Toulousain delivered a dominant performance, defeating Villeneuvois Lille Métropole 58–3 at the Ernest-Wallon Stadium.
A one-sided start
After an early penalty from Goujat (5’), Toulouse took full control. Folituu, Trégouet, Queyroi, Murie, and Hermet scored five tries before halftime (31–3).
A controlled second half
Arbey scored twice (48’, 53’), Hermet added another (65’), and Bourdon-Sansus (70’) and Zago (74’) sealed the victory.
Toulouse, a well-oiled machine
Led by Bourdon-Sansus and Hermet, the Red and Black combined speed, power, and precision to perfection, sending a strong message to the rest of the league.
Lille outclassed but courageous
Despite their efforts, Lille couldn’t match Toulouse’s intensity. “We’re not playing in the same league,” admitted their coach after the match.
A strong message to the championship
With this bonus-point victory (58–3), Toulouse confirms its ambitions for the 2025–26 season, while Villeneuvois Lille must regroup quickly.
