ART PARIS ART FAIR – Art3f – The return of Contemporary Art to Paris

This 23rd edition of Art Paris Art Fair was held from September 9 to 12, it brought together the works of 140 modern and contemporary art galleries, of which 57 were participating for the first time or making their return, 65% of French galleries and 35% of foreign galleries. About twenty countries were represented, mainly from Europe (in relation to the health crisis), Korea, Colombia, Ivory Coast, Guatemala and Uruguay …

Visitors had the leisure and pleasure of discovering Art Paris Art Fair in its new setting at the Grand Palais Éphémère located in Champ-de-Mars. The architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte imagined and created this magnificent temporary structure of the 21st century at the foot of the military school and in line with the Eiffel Tower, while awaiting the end of the work of the Grand Palais for the Olympic Games of 2024 .

The Grand Palais Éphémère occupies a 10,000m2 cross-shaped space, which can accommodate up to 9,000 people. Its structure is in European spruce wood, it offers a 500m2 terrace facing the Eiffel Tower. The structure is completely removable and reusable and will be stored by the owner-director, the GL Events group.

27 personal monographic exhibitions allowed the public to discover the work of modern artists such as Nicolas de Crécy, Miguel Chevalier, Gerold Miller, Monique Frydman …
The monographic exhibitions from 1919 to 1969 were eagerly awaited; Ranging from Pablo Picasso to La Helene Bailly Gallery as well as a rare selection of Polaroids and black and white photos by Andy Warhol, the dedication to Gonçalo Mabunda, Mozambican artist and above all the tribute paid to the Iranian Mojé Assefjah for his painting abstract.

Art Paris Art Fair presented high-end galleries such as Almine Rech, Continua, Frank Elbaz, Massimodecarlo, Kamel Mennour, Perrotin, Lahumière, Templon and many more; author galleries such as those of Jean Fournier, Suzanne Tarsieve, Vincent Sator, Anne-Sarah Bénichou … and especially emerging brands such as Stems, Galerie Marguo de Chine, Derouillon …

Since 2018, Art Paris Art Fair has supported the French scene with the section called “Promises”. This brings together about twenty artists around the subject “Portrait and Figuration”. This year Hervé Mikaeloff, independent exhibition curator, gives his perspective on the new scene. He succeeded Gaël Charbeau appointed in 2020.

Among the works exhibited, the public was able to discover the Galerie Claude Bernard, the Galerie Frédéric Moisan, the Galerie Capazza with the works of Georges Jenclos exhibited as well as the paintings of Romeo Mivekannin, artist from Côte d’Ivoire, the paintings and books of Gael Davrinche, the sculpture of the Large Decorative Door made in ceramic and photographic panels with ceramic facings from the Bachelot & Caron Gallery, the sculpture made in goose feather in mixed media from the Galerie Les Filles du Calvaire; Without forgetting the paintings of Alfredo Vichis, Ayako Miyawaki, David Ferreira and many others …

The next edition will take place in early April 2022.

Galleries, painters, sculptors, photographers from France, Europe and the whole world come to present their works and bond with the visitor, sometimes they introduce them to their art. The regional artists were eagerly awaited as well as the young contemporary French and European guard, the high-flying galleries as well as the installed artists.

For Art3f, this show presents, highlights, highlights Art without its academic discourse. Just the emotion aroused by the works and by the universe of artists.

This edition of Art3f offered the public superb, diverse and varied works at affordable prices, thereby offering everyone a part of their dreams.
