From April 4th to 6th, the Arpège cultural complex in Merville hosted the 9th edition of the Arts Festival. Over three days, the event attracted a large audience, with more than 600 visitors discovering the works of 71 painters, sculptors, and photographers, exhibited in the hall or projected on screen.

The highlight of this cultural event was undoubtedly the opening reception on Sunday morning, which honored several artists with the presentation of six awards.

The jury, under the guidance of Robert Bonnet (painter), artistic director of this fair, was chaired by Catherine Merlo-Serventi (Serventi Gallery in Toulouse), and was joined by Chantal Aygat (Mayor of Merville), Nadine Pizzinato (artist and drawing teacher), and honored guests Thierry Villet (sculpture) and Jacques Dumergue (painter).
The awards ceremony was attended by Véronique Volto, Departmental Councilor, Dominique Boulay representing the Grenade City Hall, elected officials from Merville, and a large audience.

The winners:
– The Drouot Cotation Prize, figurative painter Daniel Soum;
– The Municipality Prize, figurative painter Alain Muller;
– The Figurative and Classical Painting Prize, awarded to Guy Di Stefano;
– The Contemporary and Abstract Painting Prize, supported by Arts et Cadres, went to Dominique Andres;
– The Sculpture Prize was awarded to Lionel Augé;
– The Photography Prize to Fabien Deboyser.
The Public Prize was awarded late in the afternoon to K-Roline, an animal painter.

To close this wonderful event, four lucky visitors won prizes in a raffle, including tickets to the famous Merville Labyrinth and a superb book on Art Nouveau offered by the municipality.

See you next year for the 10th edition.
