TFW, THE UNMISSABLE FASHION EVENT IN TOULOUSE

While the first fashion week of 2024 will be held from January 16 to 21 with men’s fashion in the spotlight, a look back at the shows of the Spring-Summer 2024 season which are held from September 25 to October 3 2023.

During this period, major houses and young designers were able to unveil the Women’s Ready-to-Wear collections for the Spring-Summer 2024 season during fashion shows and trendy events in Paris but also in Toulouse where fashion week was held on November 25 and 26, 2023 at the Château de Preissac. Among the stylists present in Toulouse, we discovered Pierre Paris, Christelle Guarrigue and Agnès Wuyam. For its part, men’s fashion will be in the spotlight from January 16 to 21, 2024.

This 7th edition had the theme “Glam and Strass” offering a show combining music, dance, body painting and pyrotechnics to highlight the challengers. Thanks to a partnership with Polish Fashion Week, the event participated in the promotion and support of young fashion talents, while being present on the international scene with the participation of around twenty stylists from all countries. also models and nearly 300 volunteers. During the weekend, Toulouse defined and followed fashion trends, a constantly evolving art.

Agnes Wuyam

For this collection, colorful, chic and classy, Agnès Wuyam deployed an explosion of colors and airy delicacy. We discovered belted skirts, flowing pants, bralettes and long, sensual dresses. Ease is translated by purity of lines and comfort, allowing freedom of movement in accordance with the lines of the body. In this new collection, in soft and tropical colors, we find contrasts between shine and transparency whether in the evening or in everyday life. The woman’s silhouette is enhanced by sheathed dresses, gathered and tied in transparent layers, thanks to draping. Agnès Wuyam was also rewarded for her work with the Honorary Prize from Fashion Philosophy Fashion Week Poland. The brand is present in its renowned boutiques in Poland but also in the world of Polish television and cinema where the stylist has dressed the stars. It is also present internationally.

Christelle Guarrigue

The originality of Christelle Guarrigue’s collection is that it has several strings to its bow. Professor of French and Visual Arts at Cantelaure College, she is also the author of 2 personal development books and also a stylist. Her creativity comes from the use of tea bag paper, an idea developed during the Covid-19 pandemic, and incorporate them into his creations. She dresses her characters in eco-responsible and original clothing with great finesse of execution while sublimating the woman and also the man. It is characterized by the design of a life-size dress, made exclusively from tea bags. In the summer of 2022, she produced an exhibition of paintings entitled “Thé chic en técup” at La Mijoteuse in Colomiers.

Peter Paris

For his first ready-to-wear collection, “The Criminal Designer”, better known as Pierre Paris, drew his inspiration from urban culture and luxury. We find jackets, jackets, sweatshirts, T-shirts and caps with detailed visuals. Passionate about music and drawing, he drew sketches in a manga spirit at a very young age. Very quickly, he was inspired by Hip-Hop culture by creating his first streetwear brand entitled “Makila Masta”. Thanks to his friends, including QR and SEFYU, he got closer to Main Stream artists like Black Bear. He organized parades with artists such as Hiro or Oh Mon Dieu Salva. Thanks to his notoriety, he collaborates with rap personalities like Fianso, Niro, Vegedream, l’Artiste, Lacrim, Ninho… He also made a jacket for Maître Gims and a T-shirt for the Fuego tour. His appearance on stage is linked to Booba.
