What is the ART3F trade fair?

The Art3F fair is a cultural event, a mix between crush and affordable art. its uniqueness is the warm and human side it exudes. It allows a family discovery. For art lovers and collectors, this is the opportunity to meet artists to share their worlds.

The selection committee chooses the majority of artists but also the galleries. The show is the way to find new talents: painters, sculptors and photographers… but also prestigious works.

For its 7th edition, Art3F Paris is a success, above all thanks to the position of the French capital, its museums and its monuments. Let’s not forget that Paris is the most famous city of art in the world.

The Parisian fair is the basis for the realization of provincial fairs. Located in the exhibition center, Porte de Versailles, it is easy to access and offers a large space.

Now there is a space dedicated to Street Art with live performances.

The history of ART3F

In 2012, Serge Beninca, director of a communication agency and a publishing house in Mulhouse, created ART3F with one of his colleagues who is passionate about art. Disappointed by the existing exhibitions, they decided to create their own ART3F exhibition in Mulhouse. Today, thanks to the public’s enthusiasm for contemporary art, the show is present in more than fifteen cities in France and Europe.

They choose the name ART3F in reference to the geographical location of Mulhouse. The city is located in the heart of the French, German and Swiss borders, “3F” means 3 borders. This name will be found for the other cities.

The specificity of the salons is the mix of artists and galleries in the same place of exhibition, while allowing the exchange between visitors and artists. Furthermore, the works on offer are available for purchase, most of which are not intended for speculation.

In order to make the salons more user-friendly, visitors can find places to eat. Musical groups, rather jazzy, animate the opening evenings. A happy zone welcomes children.

ART3F in Paris

In September 2015, ART3F moved to Paris for the first time in the brand new Paris Event Center de la Villette (75019). , For this first edition, we could meet 200 independent artists and galleries of national and international renown on 8000 m².

After the capital, the show went on tour until the end of 2015. In Lyon, it offered 2,500 works to professionals and neophytes. The cheapest work was 50 euros for a photographic triptych, the most expensive at 50,000 euros for a work by Combas.

Thanks to its reputation, the show has over time become one of the best contemporary art fairs in the world. The main strength is the concept, different from traditional contemporary art fairs. It is about moving away from the “conceptual” in favor of living artists and the emotion that their works will arouse in the public. The idea is to offer works at affordable prices, some starting from a few hundred euros.

Selection criteria for artists and galleries

A selection committee made up of true art enthusiasts, 2 artists and 2 collectors, aims to discover new talents. The aim is to guarantee the high level of quality of the salons, selecting galleries and artists that are promising or already established.

See you at the next edition of the Paris fair, from January 28 to 30, 2022, Hall 5 Parc des expositions, Porte de Versailles (75015).
