It’s time to wonder which of the twenty-two contenders for the Palme d’Or will walk away with the coveted trophy?
The closing ceremony was scheduled for Saturday, May 24, 2025, and it began with a final ascent of the red carpet.
Celebrities vied for style, as seen in Cate Blanchett, who captivated everyone in a sumptuous long black Louis Vuitton gown. Jane Fonda, at 87, proved once again that glamour has no age. She caused a sensation in a nude two-tone gown, displaying a look that was both classic and daring. Simone Ashley, who was very friendly with the other guests, was also a guest. Daniel Auteuil walked the red carpet with his other half, his wife Aude Ambroggi. Juliette Binoche, president of the jury, also shone with her style, opting for a long midnight blue skirt embroidered with pearls, a white T-shirt, and a matching jacket. Jonathan Huguet was praised for his chic simplicity and originality.
Halle Berry, divine in a white lace gown with shoulder pads, and with Rossy de Palma, who dared to wear a black gown with puffed sleeves.
A radiant Elle Fanning also walked the red carpet, as did Claude Lelouch, Géraldine Nakache, Camélia Jordana, and Hafsia Herzi. The jury, including Jeremy Strong, Halle Berry, Leïla Slimani, and Hong Sang-soo, entered to applause, ready to unveil the highly anticipated winners.
Despite a power outage during the day, the ceremony took place under normal conditions, with the organizers rising to the challenge.
