A mass in homage to Bernard Tapie, who died this Sunday at the age of 78, was celebrated this Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés in Paris.
It was the last Parisian stopover, before reaching Marseille, « city of the heart » of the businessman who died Sunday at the age of 78 from cancer, the coffin of Bernard Tapie surrounded by his relatives landed this Wednesday at the church of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, for a tribute in which many personalities took part.
Several personalities including Brigitte Macron, Roselyne Bachelot, Nicolas Sarkozy, Jean-Louis Borloo, Jean-Pierre Papin or Rachida Dati met this Wednesday to attend a mass in Paris and pay tribute to Bernard Tapie, who died on Sunday.
The host Michel Drucker, the footballer Basile Boli, the general manager of the news television channel BFMTV Marc-Olivier Fogiel, the publicist Jacques Séguéla, and the businessman Xavier Niel came running, as well as personalities from the cinema, such as the director Claude Lelouch, the actress and singer Line Renaud or the actor Pierre Arditi.
About 200 people gathered in front of the church, not counting journalists, shortly before the start of the religious ceremony.
The tribute to the « Boss » will continue this Thursday, the coffin has left the capital to be exhibited at the Stade Vélodrome, with a final farewell from the Olympians from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Vélodrome. The coffin of the former OM president, who died last Sunday, will be placed in Hall 1 of the Vélodrome in the presence of his family. All Marseillais who wish it will be able to meditate one last time.
Friday morning, at 11 am, a mass will be celebrated in the cathedral of La Major, in Marseille.
