Yellow personalities and waistcoats

Saturday, November 1, the artists had been given go in front of the theatre of the Roundabout in order to express their dissatisfaction.

Because of the manifestations of the “yellow waistcoats” around Star, it was very difficult to go to the site. This is why, at in mid-December, after the 5th week of claim, one raised nearly 80 personalities and companies among which Brigitte Bardot, Anny Duperey, Pamela Anderson, François Asselino, Bigflo and Oli, the author Esther Benbassa, the director Yvan Benedetti, the author Jean–Paul Bourre, Christine Boutin, Jean Bricmont, Eric Cantona, Jacques Cheminade, Eric Ciotti, Gilbert Collard, Michel Collon, Cortex, the draughtsman Jean–Louis Costes, Nicolas Dupont–Aignan, Frédéric Devalier, Dieudonné, Doc Gynéco, Annie Ernaux, the philosopher and former minister Luc Ferry, essay writer Alain FinkielkrautCyril Hanouna, Eric Hazan, Alexandre Jardin, Jul, the Kaaris rapper, Laâm, Francis Lalanne, Jean Lassalle, Navy and Jean–Marie Le Pen, the novelist Edouard Louis, “the Demo for All”, Robert Ménard, Jean–Luc Mélenchon, Jean–Marc Morandini, Laurence Parisot, Pierre Perret, Florian Philippot, Michel Polnareff, Laurent Wauquiez, Muriel Robin, François Ruffin, Patrick Sébastien, Linda de Suza, Afida Turner, Michael Youn, Eric Zemmour as well as companies, Braik Records, Equality and Reconciliation, Omega Force and the political parties of which Unsubdued France, RN, the New Anticapitalist Party, French Action, Upright France.

So some do not decide, others signed an appeal for calm deploring perpetrated violences on December 1st and while Franck Dubosc disunited himself, 175 famous or anonymous people signed a platform published in the Parisian asking for a return to a state of calm. However, in spite of drops in number of visits of the demonstrations during the period of the festivals, the movement took again a rise of frequentation since the re–entry with 50,000 participants for act 8 and 84,000 for act 9; the French as for them continue with nearly 70% to support the movement in spite of a weakening and the approach of the national debate announced for January 15th.

Abroad, the yellow waistcoats made followers and as of the beginning, the movement gained Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany whose main reason is the pact of Marrakech, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece and this weekend the United Kingdom, the Italian government led by Matteo Salvini and Luigi di Maio gave a support to the French movement and proposed an alliance between “5 stars” and yellow waistcoats; proposition rejected by Eric Drouet and Jacline Mouraud.

Throughout the world, the movement is perceived differently according to the trends of each one. For the Chinese, the movement of the yellow waistcoats is synonymous with an uneven company; for the Greeks who support the French movement and see signs in their country, it is a general dissatisfaction which challenge them on what will occur to France (… and in Europe…)in the weeks to come; the United States, Russia, has Turkey and Venezuela does not miss irony to speak about what occurs to France.
