Estéban de la Véga received friends for a “Taste Emotion Painting” at the “Jardin des Couleurs”,

the painter’s studio.

This meeting was the opportunity to discover new works by Estéban in a festive atmosphere.

This is not the first time that we have met the artist. We had met him during the pre-

The beginnings of Estéban

Estéban, whose real name is Christophe, made his artistic debut 6 years ago. His inspiration is

born from the emotion emanating from Rodin’s “The kiss”. This autodidact expresses what he feels by putting on the canvas what represents for him the childish world. “The one”, as he says, is the

beginning of a long series on different themes.

He then chooses his artist name, Estéban de la Véga. He came from the mix of a band hero

drawn, Estéban, son of the sun in “Les Cités d’Or” and by Don Diégo de la Véga , Zorro. For

him, the two together signify light, childhood and justice. We are far from his training and

of his profession in finance.

Its collections

In his paintings, Estéban expresses his inspiration and his emotions. Through movement,

the energy, the vibration and the intensity of the colors, it transports the viewer into a positive world, smiling and childish, taking him to another universe with a smile

Its catalog is divided into 5 collections:

• “Romantic” (Expression of amorous feeling, carnal desire and attraction drive through colored petals lying on a bed of color using hidden words or symbols such as flowers or hearts).

• “Inspiration” “ (Internal journeys through the symbolism of space and backgrounds

sailors; there is a canvas immortalizing the image of singer Carlos who took life from the good side)

• “Childish” (so as never to forget to marvel and dream like a child, she is based on scribbles of paint tubes that represent what children do with it colored pencils).

• “Energetic” (Force of Movement and Vividness of colors to give a real Boost energy while smiling).

• “Street” (based on the energy and freedom of the street to create on any medium of

recovery of original works outside codes such as doors or hoods of cars).

Its exhibitions

The “Galerie Saint Honoré” hosted an exhibition of his solo works, Color Vibrations, in 2017.

An exhibition at the hotel Le Crayon (75001) in 2018 presented 2 magnificent dresses. It was a

collaboration with fashion designer Angela Shapovalova. He had also made a hat in the honor of the blues for the world cup.

He then exhibited “Color Show” at the “Loft Triangle d’or” then “Color Vibrations” at the “Maison

Blanche “in 2019.

It was also found in group exhibitions (Aparte at the Galerie Ernestin in 2017; L’Art et la

Voices at the Château d’Anet in Dreux in 2018; Pop Art Show / Miss Pop at the Art Gallery and Festival of American film in Deauville in 2019).

Artist exhibited in Residence at Dads’ Den in Paris (75004) in 2018, we can find him there

regularly since with new works.

Last year, Estéban was at the “Dolce Vita” evening at the “Villa Auteuil” (75016) to present

the preview “Color Shot”.

“Emotion Painting” at the “Jardin des Couleurs”

At the beginning of June, Esteban presented new works to his guests. It is in his workshop that they have walked around a snack to the sound of songs performed by BB Ange.

Estéban chose to name his workshop, “Le Jardin des Couleurs” since he had deposited his works

on either side of his garden, he then continued his visit to the living room.

In the garden

The first collection mentioned during this visit was the ” Enfantine ” collection and its news.

juxtapositions of colors “…” I do not mix colors to obtain a crust “…. “We must keep the child who is in oneself …”, declared Estéban.

The second painting “Packdisc” was also part of the collection ” Enfantine ” mixed with the

collection ” Energétique “, ultra dynamic .. It represents a vinyl record on a background of colors

bright phosphorescent or iridescent (which change according to the angles). We start from the vinyl eaten by the Packman. The tone of the painting moves with the movement of the viewer.

The common thread of this collection is: “Positivity, Color, Energy”. Depending on the paintings

used, we discover the emotion of the paintings.

The following painting belongs to the ” Street Art ” collection. She uses the energy and the freedom of the streets drawing on any objects with any painting technique. It’s freedom to have fun and do whatever you want without restraint. On this table is epoxy resin which allows to enhance the colors. By making a magnifying effect, it compensates for the lack of relief or colors. By touching it, one has the impression that ‘this representation of a volcano is alive.

We then approached the ” Energétique ” collection which can be recognized by the liveliness of the

colors. We note the presence of a cow’s head (laughing) on ​​a red background. For its part, the Tower

Eiffel is positioned in the “Enfantine” collection. It is the representation of a fireworks display at the foot of the Eiffel Tower seen by a 4 year old child, just the representation of energy and joy.

In the living room

After 3 paintings from the ” Energétique ” collection with changing tones depending on the light and inclination. For one of them, “Butterfly”, we observe pink which will draw on blue. There are many reading levels thanks to the superposition of colors which imply several reading levels.

The following table from the ” Enfantine ” collection shows scribbles, mixed with the collection

” Romantic ” with the word LOVE hidden in the scribbles.

It is then the moment to discover the only remaining part of the collection ” Gourmandise “, the

others having been sold. It represents according to the performers, macaroons, nipples or meringues that you want to eat, but they are not soft to the touch.

We then come back to the “Inspiration” collection with the symbolism of space and a vinyl which

represents a planet, a little nod to Carlos.

The ” Enfantine ” collection includes a lot of canvases where scribbles mingle with characters

Play Mobil including “the Knight Lancelot”, the youngest of the collection. There is also Asterix the

Gallic.

Let us not forget other works such as “Couleur Buddha” or “Body’s Color” (“Street” collection), the

new “Silver” canvases (“Romantic” collection), Playmo color Jack Parrow or the dog Romeo …

After this afternoon of discovery which brought us to know him better, Estéban de la Véga

went to Chantilly on July 18, at the price of Diane. He was accompanied by Andy Paz. Very elegant,

she wore a magnificent dress made by herself and a headdress flower of water lily from “Mirabelle

hats “. For his part, Estéban was very Dandy with a top hat that he specially created. for the occasion, matched with her striped jacket. He made this hat by letting tubes of

paint deposited on top.

Then the last will be, as Esteban says : ” Color the Life, Color the World “.
