A one-man show for a lonely man, truly lonely.

A one-man show for a lonely man, truly lonely.
A minimalist set, a wooden bench, a pillow, an armchair in which François is sitting.

He addresses this bench, which we understand is a hospital bed, the bed of Arno, his neighbor’s son, who is sick and has come to visit him.
And François speaks, speaks, a logorrhea, in a monotonous tone, an almost psychotic attitude.

As if he wanted to fill an inner void.
And he speaks, he speaks, about the impact of his job on his personal life, about his colleagues, his friends, unemployment, his struggles to find a job, bureaucracy … and the words fly, pile up. We think of the enumerations of the banal daily life, “the infra-ordinary”, as Georges Perec called it.

He tells with moving and funny candor the world outside the one who no longer leaves his hospital bed.

Will François manage to get away from this reality that weighs him down?

Will he manage to get closer to his dreams?

Christophe Guichet, the author-actor, wanted not to change a word of the text he created thirty years ago in Brussels.
