Rétromobile 2019: Real success with a record of 132,000 visitors

The Retromobile show was held from February 6 to 10, 2018, Porte de Versailles at the exhibition center.

This year, the show has spread over 3 pavilions (1,2 and 3) and welcomed 132,000 visitors. It was an opportunity for them to meet on a surface of 72 000 m² more than 100 clubs, federations, manufacturers and sellers of miniatures and spare parts, etc … In all, 650 exhibitors and more than 600 cars exhibited as well that the Auction Retromobile 2018 by Artcurial Motorcars from 8 to 10 February with a collection of 90 motorcycles MV, the Bugatti Type 51 chassis # 51128 of 1931, formerly Trintignant, 6th at the Grand Prix of Monaco in 1932 with Marcel Lehoux, the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Touring Berlinetta, and closed on Sunday, February 10th by the sale Racing, Flying, Yachting, followed by Vibration dedicated to an exceptional collection of helmets of Formula 1 drivers.

Of the 76% of vehicles sold, 43 have passed the 100,000 mark and 3 have exceeded one million. The buyers were from 22 countries, which corresponds to 84% of them. Regarding the star of the sale, the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Touring Berlinetta of 1939, its new owner, an American won the auction at 16.745.000 €, including costs, the car thus becomes the third car of avant- the world’s most expensive war ever sold at auction. It was followed by a Serenissima Spyder from 1966, sold for 4,218,800 € while it was estimated between 1.3 and 1.8 M €, and by a Mercedes-Benz SLR Stirling Moss Edition of 2009, awarded 2.617.200 € .
