The 5th edition of the Paris Pastry Grand Prix 2026 highlights once again the ingenuity, creativity, and excellence of Parisian pastry chefs. Created in 2019 by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, with the support of world-renowned chef Pierre Hermé, this prestigious competition is a must-attend event for professionals and young talents in the capital.
2026 Theme: Paris, City of Love
Participants are invited to celebrate the romantic dimension of Paris: gardens, iconic bridges, moonlit walks along the Seine… Each creation must evoke the unique atmosphere that makes Paris a universal symbol of love.
A Local and Sustainable Competition
Every creation must include at least one locally produced ingredient: aromatic herbs, edible flowers, honey, Paris-made chocolate, or locally grown fruits. This requirement promotes short supply chains and supports Parisian production, aligning with the Made in Paris label.
An Exceptional Jury
The jury is co-chaired by Pierre Hermé, the “Picasso of Pastry,” and Nicolas Bonnet Oulaldj, Deputy Mayor for Commerce, Crafts, and Art Professions.
Other jury members include:
-
Benoît Leconte, President of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts of Île-de-France
-
Pascal Barillon, President of the Bakers and Pastry Chefs Union of Greater Paris
-
Frédéric Brangeon, President of the National Pastry Confederation
-
Mathieu Lévêque, 2025 professional winner

Right to love whomever you want

Fight against hate, discrimination, and homophobia
