Each year, its members decide on the nominations and awards of the Golden Globes, rewarding the productions of the year previous.
Golden Globes 2021
The awards ceremony took place on the night of February 28 to March 1. The ceremony started at 8 p.m. (2 a.m. To Paris). It could be followed on the French channel Canal + from 11:45 p.m. The festivities have started
after the show and before the ceremony. Among the commentators was Ramzy Malouki, correspondent Canal + in Los Angeles and member of the Golden Globes jury.
French presence

The presentation was also 100% feminine with actresses Tina Fey in New York and Amy Poehler, in Beverly Hills.

On the film side, “Nomanad” by Chloéb Zhao; “Borat 2” and “Soul” each win 2 prizes.
Side series, “The Crown” and “The game of the lady” are big winners with 6 awards each.
Note that this year, Netfix received 42 Golden Globe nominations for 22 films and 20 series.

– Best dramatic film and Best director: “Nomadland”, by Chloé Zhao. It is the story of Fern, an American who decides to give up everything and go to live on the roads after having been ruined by the economic crisis.
– Best Comedy and Best Actor in a Comedy: “Borat 2”, new mission filmed, with Sacha Baron Cohen.
– Best Animated Film and Best Soundtrack: “Soul” by Pixar. Thanks to their work for the soundtrack of the film by Pixar studios, Trent Rznor, Jon Batiste, and Atticus Ross leave with a reward.
– Best Musical or Comedy Series : “Welcome to Schitt’s Creek”.
– Best Screenplay: Aaron Sorkin, for “The Chicago Seven”.
– Best dramatic actress: Andra Day, she plays Billie Holliday, in “Billie Holliday, a state affair ”.
– Best Dramatic Actor: Chadwick Boseman (posthumously), for his role in “ The Blues
of my Reiney ”. The actor, who died in August 2020 was made famous by his participation in the film Black Panther.
