Geeks and Otakus convened in Paris Manga – Sci-Fi

The 26th edition of Paris Fi MangaSci was held last weekend, October 20th and 21st with the exhibition site, Porte de Versailles in Paris, a wink with Japanismes 2018 which celebrates the 160ème birthday of the diplomatic relations between France and Japan.

It is also a means of putting at the honor the creativity of Japan by a hundred events dedicated to the Japanese culture of which the mangas are part.

Paris Manga SciFi is it appointment of the Pop Culture. It is held twice a year to join together geeks (people completely dependent on their computers) and otakus (impassioned for the mangas and the japanisation). This edition emphasized the years 1990 and 2000.

It is the occasion for nearly 70,000 spectators the stars of their series preferred on the 20,000 m ² of the exposure. Tens of stands were opened with the aficionados dressed up like their preferred heroes, to get different mangas derived products. Super heroes, warriors, characters of fiction and magical girls sauntered in the be exchanging of Free Hug (free calin,) while showing their costumes of which the most succeeded took part in the National Cosplay Cup.

Many animations, conferences, concerts and competitions of gameplay (ergonomics in the game and way which one plays there) followed one another on the two large scenes. One should not forget the meetings of dedications of the so expensive actors in the middle of the fans whose hero of the series Parker Lewis loses never, Smallville and Charmed. Laura Vandervoot, Clark Kent, Tom Welling and Lex Luthor Michael Rosenbaum lent themselves to the game of the questions of their admirors.

For the experts, a corner dedicated to the comics books was dedicated to them and of beautiful counterparts of racing cars such K 2000, Bumblebee and of the vehicles of Jurassic Park were exposed. Superstars of the wrestling of the W.W.E. Sami Zayn deserted the boxing ring to sign dedications whereas amateurs clashed on a boxing ring.

Shinji Aramaki (Albator), Noriyuki Abe (Boruto, Black Butler) or Atsuko Ishizuka (No Range No Life) were present on the scene Manga for conferences and the Japanese musicians of Lazy guns Brisky especially come for a concert within the framework from their European round for promotion from their new individual Hello Again left on October 10th, 2018, set fire Sunday afternoon during half an hour in front of the fans of JRocknroll.

The flat of this edition was the absence of a room of projection to discover last releases, and that of the large editors, Glenat, Kaza and Kana who prefer the competitor living room Japan Exhibition. A contrario, many small editors like Ki Oon or Ototo and Ofelbe could satisfy by their presence the visitors with the living room by presenting less famous titles of high qualities but like Citrus or Made In Abyss. All those which sought to be made known (craftsmen, fanzines and illustrators) were present.

When one goes to Paris Manga & SciFi Show, it is usual to return at home with goodies related to the mangas, bought on the spot; the mask to be put in front of the mouth, envisaged at the origin for sick people, was this year the featured product. Cult statuettes of characters,   impossible to circumvent Pop Funko also counted among the preferences of the public; The Japanese series of animation of Animates Blind among which one found the entirety of the second season of the Monogatari series had less success near the young generation which prefers the streaming with the DVD. Another great absence, that of CD of JRocknroll or KPop, one could find only objects derived and posters.
