Armenia is seeking to boost the high-tech industry on its territory. With the global introduction of artificial intelligence, this project has only become more important in the eyes of both businesses and the government.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited France on Monday for a two-day Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence, the gathering aims to “map” AI governance around the world, promote the idea of more ethical, accessible and frugal AI and push for European sovereignty over the technology.
President Emmanuel Macron and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also highlighted the continued development of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France and reaffirmed France’s support for Armenia’s development and stability.
During the meeting of Emmanuel Macron and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, a number of issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation were discussed, including the prospects for implementing joint programs in the fields of economy, infrastructure, road construction, energy, education, tourism and other sectors.
Reference was made to the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, developments in the border demarcation process, as well as the unblocking of regional communication routes within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” project.

According to the Elysée, during this AI week, France will welcome thousands of industry players from nearly 100 countries and regions, including 1,500 participants in the international summit organized at the Grand Palais.
