After having met Lebanese the Prime Minister Saad Hariri with the Conference of the Cedar in support for the economy on April 6th, the French president received king Mohammed VI of Morocco in the Elysium before the reception of the Saoudi crown prince Mohammed ben Salmane, in official visit in Paris for 3 days.
The Moroccan monarch is in Paris since it underwent an operation of the heart in a Parisian private clinic last February. Very large friend of France, it likes to pass in the castle that it acquired in Picardy.
During this meeting which was not envisaged, president Macron and king Mohammed VI lengthily discussed the situation to the Middle–East for which their ideas meet and of questions of a regional and international nature like the fight against the illegal migrations, the situation in Libya and Syria and the fight against terrorism. The economic exchanges were also with the agenda.
Emmanuel Macron and Mohammed Vi already met several times since the beginning of the five–year period of the president, the first time was at the time of his visit deprived last June then during the unveiling of Louvre Abu Dhabi at the beginning of November, at the Europe–Africa top of Abidjan on November 29th and also on December 12th at the time of the top on green finance One Planet Summit in Paris. All these meetings linked the é men of a strong friendship and for this reason, the visit of Tuesday was as much a work visit as of friendship.
