The annual dinner of the CCAF (the Council of Coordination of the Armenian Organizations of France) was held on February 5th with the hotel “the Collector” in Paris, in the presence of the president of the Republic and of many personalities of the political world, associative, of arts and the media.
For the French of Armenian origin, it is about an event impossible to circumvent which made it possible to the President of the Republic to be expressed in front of the diaspora on various the political questions which touch with the relations between France, Armenia and all the satellite countries of which Turkey. The Armenian genocide remains a crime against the humanity which continues to mark the national topicality and international.
In his speech, the Head of the State announced in front of Maire Paris, Anne Hidalgo; the president of the Region, Valérie Pécresse; the Mayor of 8th, Jeanne d‘Hauteserre; religious authorities and ambassadors, Jonathan Lacôte and Hasmik Tolmadjian, that France was going to make of April 24th, a “national day of commemoration of the Armenian genocide” following the promises made at the time of its presidential campaign. France was the first by 1915 to name this crime against humanity as a genocide and to recognize it in the law in 2011.
Léa Salamé, it even of Armenian origin presented the evening which begin with the speech from the speakers starting with Valérie Pécresse who informed of the projects of the area to develop the partnerships with Armenia while supporting the international lifting of funds to 500,000 euros height to allow the UFAR (French university of Armenia) to move, but also to insist on the development of a “rural metropolis” boosted by Patrick Devedjian, so present.

Nicolas Aznavour, one of the sons of the singer present at the dinner offered to the President a “doudouk”, flute traditional out of wooden of apricot tree.
After the intervention of the 2 copresidents of the CCAF, Ara Toranian and Mourad Papazian, 3 medals of the courage of the organization were given in the presence of Gabriel Attal, Secretary of State near the Minister for State education and Youth, first of all in Vincent Duclert, who wished shared this distinction with the 65 researchers who helped it to return a report on the genocides then to 2 women: Nadia Murad, young yézidie reduced in slavery by Daesh and Nobel Prize of peace for its action to put an end to the use of sexual violences as a weapon of war.
