David Donadeï Celebrates His Birthday at Romantica Caffé

Born in May but always forced to postpone his celebration because of the Cannes Film Festival, David Donadeï blew out his 56 candles this year on June 2, surrounded by friends and familiar faces.

A well-known figure in both football and the community sphere, and father of three daughters aged 26, 31, and 36, David chose a place close to his heart for the occasion: Romantica Caffé – Arc de Triomphe, owned by his longtime friend Maurizio Gonezzi.

Originally from the Cinque Terre in northern Italy, Maurizio grew up between sea and mountains before settling in Paris. Passionate about gastronomy, he opened his restaurant to share authentic Italian and Mediterranean cuisine, skillfully blending products from land and sea.

As a true lover of Italian cuisine, David Donadeï could not have chosen a better setting to celebrate his birthday. His guests were treated to Maurizio’s specialties, ranging from traditional dishes to original, lesser-known creations.

The evening brought together many personalities who came to honor their friend and enjoy the festivities: Roy Cavus, Maurice Kassouri, Jean-Pierre Castaldi, Laurent Olmedo, Ghani Yalouz, Philippe Candeloro, Cartouche, Isabelle Severino, Alain Turban, Katia Tchenko, Lionel Rosso, Guy Amram, Daniel Russo, Lucie Russo, Imane Rosso, Christian Gacon, as well as several photographers and journalists.

Dinner lived up to expectations: after a selection of flavorful antipasti, guests were treated to a culinary show with linguine flambéed inside a wheel of Grana Padano cheese—a delight for both the eyes and the palate. The evening concluded on a sweet note with a light and delicious birthday cake.
