True to their nickname, “The Most Beautiful Avenue in the World”, the Champs-Élysées offered Parisians an unprecedented spectacle for the launch of the 2025 Holiday Lights. Until January 4, 2026, the iconic avenue transforms each evening into a magical pathway where emotion, tradition, and cutting-edge technological innovations come together in a never-before-seen display.
A Ceremony Filled with Emotion
This year’s edition was highlighted by the symbolic lighting carried out by Léa Seydoux, the 2025 ambassador, accompanied by two children from the Petits Princes Association.
Sacha, 6, from Toulouse – Passionate about electricity and lights, he had the privilege of pressing the magical button that illuminated the entire capital.
Marine, 17, from Charente – Battling illness, her presence brought hope and a deep emotional resonance to an evening already rich in symbolism.
These moments reminded everyone that the true magic of Christmas lies in solidarity and the fulfillment of dreams.
2025: A Reinvented, Immersive, and Dynamic Edition
This year, nothing is as before. The Champs-Élysées present an entirely new system, combining movement, technology, and evolving light design.
The 6:30 PM Grand Spark – Synchronized with the Eiffel Tower
Every evening at 6:30 PM, the avenue lights up with an exceptional sequence: for 5 minutes, from 6:30 to 6:35 PM, the trees along the Champs-Élysées sparkle in perfect synchronization with the Eiffel Tower’s twinkling lights.
A historic first, creating a luminous bridge between two of Paris’ most iconic symbols.
A Different Light Sequence Every Hour
Another novelty: at 7:30 PM, 8:30 PM, 9:30 PM, 10:30 PM, and 11:30 PM, a new light animation unfolds.
Each sequence features its own rhythm, patterns, and palette, offering a renewed experience every hour.
The avenue no longer stands still: it lives, breathes, and evolves throughout the evening.
Continuous Vegetal Sparkle
The trees shimmer with a soft, flowing light, giving the impression of living, breathing vegetation.
The “Sky of Lights” in the Side Alleys
A luminous canopy envelops visitors, creating a fully immersive experience at pedestrian level.
A Sound & Light Show by Victor Le Masne
Every hour, a 10-minute show synchronizes original music with the evolving light patterns.
Opening Hours
The lights shine every evening from 5:00 PM to midnight, remaining on throughout the night on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
An Evening Enriched by Art and Music
Actress Léa Seydoux opened the ceremony with elegance and poise, while Canadian singer Charlotte Cardin delivered a live performance, accompanying the city’s festive entrance with her music.
Paris Invents a New Kind of Magic
With dynamic sequences, synchronized effects, and a constantly evolving light display, the Champs-Élysées unveil a new way of illuminating the city.
More than ever, the avenue sparkles like a living breath at the heart of Paris, reminding us that while technology may light up the city, it is emotion that truly illuminates the night.
