Cannes Film Festival 2025: The red carpet for Die My Love hits the rhythm of glamour

UPDATE: 18 may – 00h10

This Saturday, May 17, the Croisette vibrated to the rhythm of glamour and spotlights for the red carpet for « Die, My Love, » presented in the Official Competition at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

Jennifer Lawrence gave it her all in « Die, My Love, » presented Saturday evening in competition at Cannes, where the American star plays a mother who descends into madness under the watchful eye of a partner played by British actor Robert Pattinson.

Among the most anticipated celebrities, Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, the film’s leads, caused a sensation on the red carpet. Their arrival was one of the highlights of the evening, attracting all eyes and photographers’ lenses. Jennifer Lawrence, true to her status as a Hollywood icon, captivated with her elegance, while Robert Pattinson, her on-screen partner, displayed a remarkable bond with the actress.

Scottish director Lynne Ramsay is returning to the festival for the eighth time. She has made some memorable films, including « We Need to Talk about Kevin » (2011), about a teenager who commits a massacre at his school, and « A Beautiful Day » (winner of Best Screenplay in 2017), starring Joaquin Phoenix as a hitman.

Alongside the star duo, other celebrities also shone during the red carpet. François Civil, a prominent French actor, was present to accompany the film’s crew. Christine and the Queens, a musical artist and key figure on the French and international scene, was also present.

« Die, My Love » is a dramatic thriller about a mother struggling to stay sane while suffering from psychosis, all in an isolated rural area. In Lynne Ramsay’s « Die, My Love, » Jennifer Lawrence plays Grace, a young mother in the throes of postpartum depression, whose relationship with Jackson, actor Robert Pattinson, is gradually falling apart. A brutal descent into hell, hallucinations, and violent tendencies: Grace loses her footing and drags those around her into her nightmare. The characters simultaneously arouse pity, incomprehension, contempt, and compassion, and we even come to fear for Grace, for Jackson, and even for their baby Harry. Director Lynne Ramsay allows the viewer to witness this overwhelming and crushing madness through a harsh yet truthful film, whose lead performances ring particularly true. On the red carpet, alongside Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, we notably encountered Lynne Ramsay, Lakeith Stanfield, and others.
